Much had been accomplished, but it was obvious this post and beam was definitely still under construction. Now, construction has progressed to near completion.\u00a0 Please join us as we take a look to see how far this New England style timber frame has come since we last saw it. <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6350\" title=\"Barn Home by Yankee Barn Homes\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/copy-of-100_0188.jpg\" alt=\"Adelaine Construction\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>Wow, what a difference a few months makes in the construction of a Yankee Barn home. Simply Gorgeous!! Let&#8217;s take a &#8220;walk&#8221; around the place to see what&#8217;s new.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6358\" title=\"Barn Home Sliding Barn Doors Yankee Barn Homes\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0190.jpg\" alt=\"Adelaine Construction Co. for Yankee Barn Homes\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A pebble stone walkway leads to large slabs of granite that form the steps to the front door; a perfect look for a barn home. Wood steps or decking would not have worked nearly as well for this style home. If you look up, you&#8217;ll see the stonework has been completed on the chimney using the same granite as is found in the steps.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6363\" title=\"Patio Side of the Barn Home by Yankee Barn Homes\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0193.jpg\" alt=\"Post &amp; Beam Barn Home by Yankee Barn Homes\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>On\u00a0 the great room end of the barn, we find a beautifully shaped patio which, come next summer, will have the plantings portion of the landscaping completed. Notice the granite slabs here used both as steps and as accents to the patio and check out the spot-on barn style light fixtures, finished in the same color as the trim. It&#8217;s the attention to detail which makes all the difference. <em>Very nicely done!<\/em>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0191.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6367\" title=\"Lake Charlevoix from a Yankee Barn Home\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0191.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>This is the view from both the patio and the great room. That&#8217;s Lake Charlevoix beyond the tree line.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6368\" title=\"Yankee Barn Homes Barn Home in Michigan\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0194.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>The far corner of the house is where we see the back, or &#8220;mud room&#8221; entrance to the home. The full shed addition, <em>the<\/em> <em>granary<\/em> as it&#8217;s called at YBH, is the perfect place for a back door into the laundry\/walk-in closet area. It leads directly to the post &amp; beam kitchen. <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6369\" title=\"Yankee Barn Homes Timber Frame in Michigan\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0189.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While it may look a bit out of proportion now, when the shrubs fill in they will form a perfect hedgerow wall on either side of the gate. <em>Love it!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When these photos were taken this past fall, the interior work was almost finished and the homeowners were beginning to move in. Yankee Barn Homes intends to photograph this home in the future, but Adelaine Construction and the homeowners were kind enough to share some interior photos so we could see the inside in progress. <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6372\" title=\"Post and Beam Kitchen by Yankee Barn Homes\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/319399_10150371042451115_188207751114_9892623_130277052_n.jpg\" alt=\"Adelaine Construction Company\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>Still under construction, the post and beam kitchen is awaiting a colorful tile back-splash, both above the cook-top and on either side of the sink.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6373\" title=\"Barn Home Breakfast Nook \" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/100_0143.jpg\" alt=\"Yankee Barn Homes\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a> The breakfast nook just off the kitchen is full of light. What a great space to welcome the day.<a href=\"http:\/\/staging.yankeebarnhomes.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6374\" title=\"Post and Beam Dining Room Light\" src=\"https:\/\/genmoda.info\/ybh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/8-1-11-009.jpg\" alt=\"Yankee barn Homes\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>The dining room light has just been hung.
