[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Winslow Farmhouse is going to be a special build for Yankee Barn Homes. Not only are we building the farmhouse, the attached carriage house and a separate studio for the owners’ Polarity Therapy Studio (more on that in a bit), the entire compound will be off-the-grid.<\/p>\n

Winslow Farmhouse, Carriage <\/b>House<\/b><\/span> and Studio<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Winslow Farmhouse compound is a fusing of past and present New England architecture. Everywhere you look\u00a0 there are both nods to the past and visions of the future. Even the name is an acknowledgment of the famous New England-based painter, Winslow Homer.<\/p>\n

The farmhouse 2,434 square foot interior is open concept, save for the primary bedroom suite and a mudroom located in the connector between house and carriage house. The entry area will be defined by a vaulted ceiling displaying the post and beam timbers and will open into the expansive living\/kitchen\/dining space. A three-season porch completes the family living space.<\/p>\n

The second level of the house will have a family room, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a laundry room. An added feature will be private loft space for each bedroom. Two of the three bedrooms have walk-in closets.<\/p>\n

The Winslow Carriage House will house a three-car garage on the first level and the homeowner’s art studio on the second floor. At 1,197 square feet, this carriage house has endless possibility for how the space may be used.\u00a0 The homeowners are an accomplished artist and a certified Polarity Therapy Specialist. This is why there is also an unattached structure, the Winslow Studio, that will be the private space where polarity therapy will be practiced. The studio is 480 square feet with a waiting area, a half-bath, a large closet for storage and an expansive practice area.<\/p>\n

In case you are like me and did not know what polarity Therapy was, here is the Oxford Dictionary definition: a system of treatment used in alternative medicine, intended to restore a balanced distribution of the body’s energy, and incorporating manipulation, exercise, and dietary restrictions.\u00a0<\/em>Sign me up!<\/p>\n
