Rockport Cottage has everything you’ve come to expect from the creative minds at Yankee Barn Homes and our equally creative clients. Made to appear as a shingled cottage, this homes exterior belies an open interior complete with a two-story great room that is open to both the dining room and kitchen. Walls of windows looking out over the home’s lakeside site are also included.<\/p>\n

Post and Beam Design Rockport Cottage<\/h3>\n

Rockport Cottage is a post and beam beauty, to be sure, but it’s also well thought out and completely functional. Not to mention rock solid due to it’s timber frame skeleton. Did I mention it has a great front porch with a covered breezeway connecting to the garage? I told you, our YBH design team is creative.<\/em> If you want it, they’ll come up with a way for you to have it, and make it look spectacular while they’re at it!<\/p>\n

The first floor consists of the family\/social areas including the kitchen, dining and great rooms at one end of the home while on the other side is the master bedroom, master bath and walk-in closet. The entry and a combination half-bath\/laundry room creates the dividing line between public and private spaces.<\/p>\n

The second level has two large, vaulted ceiling dormer style bedrooms, a shared bath and a bonus room which could be used for quiet reading, as a media room, an office, or whatever you like. Presiding over it all is the gorgeous post and beam frame, on full display in every room. What more could you want?[\/vc_column_text]
