Though turnkey is still a few months off, we are very impressed with the recent photos we received from the build site. We thought you might like to see them, too.<\/p>\n

Small Barn Home Is A Beauty<\/h3>\n

“Wow, that’s a gorgeous house” is typically not your first reaction to a construction site. Noticing all that isn’t finished and wondering how the end result will appear is more the norm. Not with The Downing. Right from conceptualization of this small barn home, one look at the renderings and you knew this was going to be a special house. Our initial thoughts were right on the mark. This post and beam home is stunning!<\/p>\n

The Downing floor plan, a smaller two bedroom, two and one-half bath home, offers complete customization (as do ALL Yankee Barn Homes floor plans). The owners are very involved in community music organizations, therefore a large area for musical gatherings was a must for them. A close look shows the grand piano takes a prominent position in the living room.<\/p>\n

The upper level is intended as a second bedroom, however in this interpretation, the second bedroom was not needed. An open balcony takes its place. There is an added bath and storage just off the balcony, affording the option of a second bedroom. Good floor plans make great houses!<\/p>\n

The floor plan’s primary level is perfect for those seeking an open concept living space. Rooms are defined by furniture and fixtures rather than walls. Especially relevant are the vaulted ceilings and multiple windows which add a sense of vast space.<\/p>\n
