[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In the previous post, The Yankee Barn Build Process – Phase I<\/strong>, we began explaining the components of the process clients follow when designing and building a Yankee Barn Home. We left off with the client being assigned a Design Manager to oversee their build project. The Design Manager stays with the client through the remainder of the process.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Once the home design and site placement has been determined (click link above to review the process thus far), a 3 dimensional plan is drawn and brought to life in a web-based meeting. The client can literally walk around and through their new home. During this process is the time clients may make additions or subtractions; in real time as the meeting is occurring.<\/p>\n

Another still photo of the same home. Imagine being able to see your home, walk around and through it before construction has begun. The most amazing thing is the ability to make changes right then, in real time!<\/p><\/div>\n

4.<\/strong> At this point, the Design Manager oversees the project as refinements are made, plans are drawn, contractors are engaged and the building begins.<\/p>\n

Some clients like to visit the plant to watch and photograph their home as it takes shape!<\/p><\/div>\n

As walls are taking shape in the wall shop, the roof panels are simultaneously under construction in an adjacent building.<\/p><\/div>\n

5.<\/strong> Depending on size and complexity, homes are completed in the shop in 4 to 6 weeks; delivery to the site is then arranged.<\/p>\n

Once all wall and roof panels are completed, they are bundled and wrapped for shipping to the build site.<\/p><\/div>\n

6.<\/strong> Once on site, it will take 10 to 12 days for the shell to go up and be enclosed.<\/p>\n

The frame goes up in a matter of days!<\/p><\/div>\n

This is the completely enclosed home of the frame in the picture above; 10 days later!<\/p><\/div>\n

From here your contractor takes the reigns on site while your design manager also stays with you as siding, roofing, doors, etc., are added. In a very few months, you’ll be in your new home!!<\/p>\n
