Yankee Barn Craftsmanship In the 21st Century
Yankee Barn craftsmanship in the 21st Century looks very different than it did in 1969 when YBH began building homes. However, craftsmanship is defined as a skill at making things, or the skill with which something was made or done. Given this definition, Yankee Barn Homes remain builds of superior craftsmanship. It’s a matter of the advancement in quality of materials, tools and equipment combined with the skilled craftspeople that do the job. Because we have both, Yankee Barn stays at the forefront of designing and building a superior product year after year. That product is exhibited in every home we build.
Preserving the Craft While Embracing Technology
Preserving the craft of building a custom-designed home begins with highly skilled labor. Yankee Barn Homes is proud to say we have a talented workforce behind every home we build. With a combined work experience of over 165 years in the business, we know what we’re doing and have to capacity to not only keep up with new build technology, but incorporate it into our everyday work life.
The YBH Design Team meets with each client and uses the newest technology programs to create their house plans. 3-D modeling is often used to show clients a small replica of their home. This is extremely helpful to many clients in the visualization of their new home.
Our construction facility has twelve full-time employees who each have a specific skill set tailored to their job. We highly recommend a factory tour when considering a build with Yankee Barn. You’ll get to meet our staff and learn what each of them do. We have yet to see a client who does not come away from a tour impressed with our product and our staff.
Small Company With A Personal Approach
The YBH administrative staff is not made up of paper-pushers. Each of them have had careers in the home build industry and know the intricate details of our product and process. They are actively involved in weekly meetings regarding the running of the company and every build we produce. They make certain quality is maintained and the latest technology is implemented in our product.
Our staff is a small, tight-knit “family”. We work hard and play hard (our cornhole tournaments are legendary). We know each other and make certain we know each client we serve. There have been many occasions when upon completion or a build, we are invited to the client’s home for a tour and a cookout because we’ve become extended family. That is the greatest compliment we could receive!
